Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production Goal 14: Life Below Water Goal 15: Life on Land

ALUS Canada works with community partners to deliver the ALUS program across the country. In Alberta 14 (and growing) rural municipalities engage with and support farmers and ranchers to produce ecosystem services like clean water, biodiversity, and carb sequestration on their marginal farm land. The program is community-developed, farmer-delivered, and voluntary. Farmers and ranchers are rewarded for their efforts to maintain and manage their projects via annual payments.
